Silencers

The function of a silencer is to reduce the sound dispreading through the channels but without disturbing the flow of the medium considerably. The function of a silencer is to reduce the through channels dispreading sound, without interfereing the flow of the medium heavily.

Silencers are used for the following applications:

• Reduction of sound in channels of air systems.
• Reduction of sound dispreading on Turbo Machines in close-up range (ex. fans, compressors).
• Individual application can get realized by means of relevant computer software within a short period.

The work principle of a Resonance Silencers is recommended at low frequencies.

The narrow frequencies of the absorption-curve require a lot of experience to receive also on speed controlled machines an optimal absorption.

The calculation can base on specific absorption components.

It is possible to receive at comparatively small effort high absorption also at low frequencies.

Absorption Silencers

Absorption dampers reduce the intruding sound energy by friction within the absorption material. Following factors are important for the efficiency of the damper:

• The degree of sound absorption at various frequencies is depending on: length of silencers
• Realtion: circumference/cross section surface of silencerchannel
• The thickness of absorption material.

With respect to the overall dimensions, the silencer can meet this demand at higher frequencies only which confirms the optimal sound absorption above of a frequency of 300-400 Hz.
